I received a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Education from UC Davis in 2009. I continued at UC Davis to obtain my teaching credential and M.A. in Education. After graduating, I accepted a teaching position at Eleanor Roosevelt High School In Eastvale and have just finished my 5th year of teaching. I teach Honors and Advanced Placement Chemistry and I place an emphasis on guided inquiry-based teaching.
This summer, I have joined Dr. Salzameda's organic chemistry lab. Our research is developing a cure for West Nile Virus by developing small molecule inhibitors. I believe real-world applications are crucial to understanding science and this program will allow me to incorporate my laboratory research experience into my teaching.
