Hello, my name is Clarissa Echevarria and I will be a senior at Tustin High School this fall. Throughout my four years of high school I have taken many honors and AP classes, while maintaining a 4.0 and above GPA. Currently I have a 4.3 GPA. Most recently, I was invited to the Congress of Future Physicians in Boston, Mass. this past June.
I am so glad to be a part of the HHMI Research Experience because it is a great opportunity for me to experience lab work before I go to college. I also believe this experience is very helpful in introducing me to what I will be doing in college since I would like to major in Pre-Medical Studies. Currently, I am working in Dr. Salzameda's lab, looking for a cure for the West Nile Virus.
