Research Interests

The Janowicz group focuses on using technology and the Internet to enhance learning in organic chemistry. We study adaptive technology, cognitive load, attention, motivation, and the effects of technology on student performance both quantitatively and qualitatively. We are also working to create a personalized teaching approach through the Internet.

Group Activities

Phil Janowicz gives an invited talk at 241st ACS National Meeting, titled "The Megastudent Classroom: Teaching One Million Students at Once"

Phil Janowicz presents for a focus group at ACS National Meeting on Using Technology in Organic Chemistry

Phil Janowicz is serving on the Program Committee for the National ACS Division of Chemical Education from 2011-2013
